His Eminence
Garchen Rinpoche
Bodhichitta, loving-kindness and compassion.
A Tibetan Buddhist teacher of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, Garchen Rinpoche founded the Garchen Buddhist Institute in Arizona. His teachings emphasize cultivating an altruistic heart and putting compassion into practice.
Born in eastern Tibet in 1936, he received teachings from Khenpo Munsel during his years of imprisonment. His later work established centers and supported Buddhist study and practice around the world.
