Ancient Occult

The grimoire vault

One hundred doors into the archive.

A study library of grimoires, manuscript witnesses, editions and related esoteric texts. “Forbidden” and “secret” are part of many books’ reputations; this is a curated catalogue, not a verified ranking of the world’s most hidden books.

Distinct editions and individual parts are labelled. They are not presented as 100 unrelated ancient grimoires. Source pages may offer full texts, PDFs, excerpts or bibliographic summaries.

Choose your starting point

Beginner: Start with the editorial introductions to Agrippa’s first book, Arbatel and the Key of Solomon. Learn the difference between an attributed author and a documented one.

Intermediate: Compare natural magic, astral correspondences and protective traditions. Keep a reading journal of sources and historical context.

Advanced: Compare manuscript witnesses, facsimiles, original languages and editorial choices. A later translation can reshape the meaning of a much older text.
